Really good food and prices. Waitress in bar knows our drinks which is water lol and remembers what we like she is very nice.

This place burned to the ground in 2012. The whole community was thrilled when they rebuild. I'm not much of a BBQ person myself, but I have never heard a bad review about their Brisket. Also Mac-n-Cheese is stellar.

Went tonight. Not busy at all ordered tenderloin. No tenderloin tonight. Husband ordered half ribs I ordered Hamburger and onion rings and salad said onion rings .50 extra menu said side salad with sandwich .50 when got bill salad was 2.49 because I got onion rings which were .50 upgrade for side if had been told when ordering wouldnt have gotten salad which was plain salad mix with a half thin slice of tomato. Hamburger was dripping in cheese and so greasy bun was soggy and dripping grease was horrible.husband said ribs were just ok nothing greatVery dissapointed always good before for $27 could have eaten elsewhere and had stuff to take home.Probably wont return not happy the service was ok pretty slow

The place is nice and seemed clean. The owner came and greeted us after we were seated which I thought was nice. Our waitress was amazing also. But as soon as my plate was sat down I could see hair in my chicken wrap which I showed her immediately before she walked away I pulled not 1 not 2 but 3 hairs out of my wrap it was disgusting. The portions were small and little pricey also. Anyway she came back to table and apologized and said she told the owner but nothing was done my bill came and I was charged full price for everything the owner never came to apologize which bothered me more than anything ...the fact that he didn't even agnolige it upset me and made me feel the need to write this review.

Really a 3.5 star restaurant. Food was good although French fries were not as they were over fried. Brisket sandwich was outstanding. Hamburger was one of the best you will find in the city. Pulled pork was very good too. Fresh iced tea was way too weak. Wait staff was friendly and helpful but kitchen service was excruciatingly slow. Took 45 minutes to get our lunch. Prices were reasonable or perhaps a bit on high side depending on what you order. If kitchen speed improves this might be worth checking out.

Service was a bit slow but the food was great.

I am a BBQ Rib fanatic and I have only had ribs that were worse than these at one other place. These ribs seemed to be thawed out and heated up and BBQ sauce poured over the top. I was so dissappointed, not to mention there was hardly any meat on the bones. My son ordered kid chicken tenders and fries. He got 2 small tenders and about 6 fries, yes 6 fries. My wife had a sirloin steak that was 3 inches by 1 inch by 1 inch and 3 pcs of jumbo shrimp that cost $14. I more than likely will not visit this establishment again.

Usually very good food. It can be hit and miss sometimes, even ordering the same thing. Usually better than bad. Service is usually good, but never super fast. Probably the bat sit down place in Monticello though.

The ribs were not cooked all the way. We could barely get them off the bone. The steak was very dry.

Service was outstanding. Atmosphere was perfect. Food was delicious and plenty. Recommend this place.

So first impression was being rudely ignored at the front. I finally just asked if I could be seated at the bar, and was told no, as was an older couple who came in behind us. When they asked they were shut down too. 5 minutes later, a tag was shoved at me, no name asked, no wait time given. I flagged someone else down 10 minutes later who rudely said I could just get a drink and wait. Sat at the bar another 10 minutes before I was carded at 40, and then the bartender disappeared. Waited another 5 minutes to get a beer. No thank you no anything. I had to ask for a menu, and had to find my own silverware. Steak was ordered medium, but came out well. But there was no way in hell I was going to send it back. Had to flag down bartender just to get bill, and then walked past 3 people on way out, and not a word. In conclusion, goodish food, horrid horrid service.

Unfortunately, it was disappointing. All the food was bland, could not taste any of their "special sandwich sauce", the chicken was dry, and the baked beans tasted heavily like smoke. No other flavor, just smoke. The server was great, but it was so busy there that we didn't want to wait around to get the food re-done, considering it took a good 40min to get it in the first place. Considering all the good things we've heard about Sublette's, it was very surprising at how bad things were. Especially since it was very busy; that is normally a sign that the place is all-around good. Perhaps it was just a fluke tonight, I don't know.

Greatest potato skins and a lively friendly bartender.

We had a reunion there last Sunday. The pulled pork was delicious and we were very impressed with the banquet room. Your place, including bathrooms was very clean. We hope to be back next July.

My girlfriend and I decided to give Sublettes another chance as we went a couple months ago and our experience was not that great. We are very happy we did. The prime rib was spot on, the service was great, and Sondra the waitress was awesome. The place was packed and she made us feel as we were the only ones in there restaurant and never missed a beat. We will be returning.

Evidently lost our order as it took at least an hour after we.ordered before our order showed up. Had ordered the sirloin and brisket combination. Sirloin was overcooked from the requested medium-rare. They were not very busy at the time so there was no legitimate reason for the delay.

We will go back. Great food, cozy atmosphere and super friendly people. Tiffany, our waitress, is sweet, knowledgeable and an asset to the restaurant.

They should stop serving BBQ the meat I was served was a crime against smoked meats! The brisket was served pot roast style having had no fat trimmed to add insult to the wreck of brisket. The ribs were tough and meatless and the pulled pork was stingy and chewy like rubber. That b being said the sauce was good and the service was great. Ieat BBQ all over the country and this is one of my worst meals ever.

This place is absolutely amazing!!! My fiance and I are new to monticello and we are always nervous trying new places but boy are we glad we decided to stop in and try it. My fiance had the ribs and they were cooked to perfection. They came right off the bone and the fat just melts away in your mouth and the homemade BBQ sauce on top was WOW!!!! He had the sides of Mac-N-Cheese and it's the best Mac-N-Cheese I have ever had literally!!!! And a side of garlic red skin mashed potatoes and omg they were perfect!!!!I had the sloppy big burger, and omg I dont like coleslaw but i could eat this burger for the rest of my life. We also got the potato skins for our appetizer and the potato skins were just the right amount of crunchy and the pulled pork was so amazing and of course that homemade BBQ its perfection!!!! And the staff is super friendly and the price is perfect. We will definently will be back for every date night!!!!!!

Best and only place that is worth going to eat in Monticello ❗💯 percent perfect ..from prices people and the most delicious food. My family is from Monticello..do yourself a favor if you want to go eat and expect good food.. this is the only place I'll go. Not Sportsman nothing.expecially usa.. just go see for yourself. I'd not make the mistake of eating anything but..I will say Arnis. Monica's. But that's it..

Decent BBQ, it's been better is past years, but it is still really very good.

Excellent food, and known for their smoked meats. Sublette's has a very comfortable home feel. This is not a fast dine restaurant, quality takes time! Expect to relax and enjoy a nice dinner.

Great food and great staff. If you dont get there when they open you will have a wait.its worth waiting for. Most I've ever waited was 20 minutes. But the BBQ is worth it. The cat fish is one of my favorites.

First time eating at Sublette's was not positive. After finishing the meal I was surprised to learn the proprietor charges an extra 3.5% to customers using a credit card. Had I understood that, I would have gone elsewhere. The food was good, but expensive, and certainly not worth that surprise at the end of the meal. Value-to-price is very low. I won't be back anytime soon.

Went on 4th. of July. Greeted promptly and served promptly. Food was plenty and priced Right.

Always my favorite local restaurant. The food is awesome and the employees are always friendly. Large portion sizes. But a warning some of their homemade sauces are really spicy. Overall a great experience. Our go to local BBQ.

This place is really good! The ribs were super tender and smoked nicely, and the shrimp was fried to a perfect golden brown. The only reason why I gave it 4 stars is bc that the curly fries I got had access grease on them.

We were in town from out of state. Food was good except for the curly fries which came in a basket with wax paper and were soaked in grease when I picked up a fry it was all of them in a blob. Other than that, good service.

Great place to get good ribs and other great food for the price.
